Why should you buy in today’s real estate market?
They call it a “Buyers” market for a reason!
1. There are many homes to choose from – great selection.
2. Sellers are more likely to discount their prices due to the higher supply of homes (This is market specific – ask your associate about local conditions).
3. Excellent interest rates.
4. Tax deductible vs. rent - approx. 1/3 of your monthly P&I is saved due to tax deductibility. Let the government help grow your equity.
5. Renting is spending – the money is gone.
6. Owning is investing – your equity increases as you pay down the loan.
7. Real estate is a very low volatility investment. It has only had two periods of decline in the last 40 years in Massachusetts. (1990-1993, 2006-2009).
8. After 3 years of declining unit sales and 1 year of much stricter lending standards, we are likely at or near a low point for prices.
Buy low, sell high.
9. There are many positive economic factors in the news today.
