First -time Home Buyer Tax Credit
There has never been a better time for first-time home buyers to purchase their first home. The Time is Now.
As a part of the 2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act an $8000 Tax Credit is available for first-time home buyers. The program is also available to those who have not owned a home in three years.
Congress has extended and expanded the homebuyer tax credit. The U.S. Congress has recently approved an extension and changes to this program (not signed into law by the President yet). We have available for download the NAR Home Buyer Tax Credit Change document, which documents these changes. The modifications in the column labeled “December 1 – April 30, 2010” become effective when President Obama signs the bill. All changes madeto the current credit become effective on that date, as well.
We also have available for download an NAR Tax Credit Frequently Asked Questions document.
We are happy yo make this information available. Contact Marji Ford to find out more and start your home search today.
