What is Staging?
As we know from the media mantra, “the shoe is on the other foot” in real estate. We’ve witnessed the shift from a Seller’s market to a Buyer’s market, with housing inventory piling up, prices settling more with each passing month, and houses on the market for lengthy periods of time. Staging your house can help give it a competitive edge in a market flooded with properties in every price range.
The point of Staging is to unclutter your house, giving it more open floor space and flow, and packing away knick-knacks that may be off-putting to potential Buyers. When Buyers enter your home, you want them to imagine their furniture, their family photos in place. Your realtor can give you an unbiased, fresh look at your furnishings, or can recommend professionals to guide you through the staging process.
